Sad Day

Sad because of what Stephanie posted below.

Sad because we sit in wonder about Scott's counts.

Sad because Matt Gliddon has relapsed.

Sad because it seems too many of Scott's normal "clinic mates" are inpatient this week.

Sad because I took Stephanie's dad to the airport this morning. I hate when people leave from visits.

We'll post more about the few things we did while Graham was here. He got to experience SmackDown, hockey, a boat and beach and clinic. We just have to hustle around to get to two Christmas parties tonight, and get Derry dropped off at his teammates house for hockey (he'd rather hockey practice than party).

First, let me just say that it was good to see you last night and to get to spend some much enjoyed time with you.

I'm not ever going to tell you that your fears are unwarranted, especially in the face of what the Gliddons are going through. But we have had several episodes of unexpected counts dropping and taking a long damn time to rebound. It was scary each time, my mind ran amok and I always demanded a bone marrow NOW! We've been blessed that each time she was fine, but if you feel that you need the assurance, demand that test. Don't hesitate to let them know that you are Scott's advocate and if you need tests to know that he's where he's supposed to be in treatment, then they'd better get some flipping needles ready.

I'm so sad for all of us for all we go through with this disease. I hate the anxiety and worry, the pain and suffering of our kids, the fear of the uncertainty of it all. But know that we're all here for you, all you need is to ever ask.

I'll see you on Thursday night, and I will keep pestering you about that coffee day.

Lots of love and nip....I mean, just lots of love.
