Memories are old ghosts

Earlier I commented to Scott how nice it would be to bid farewell to 2007 and how it had been the absolute worst year of my life. He responded with, "no Mum, it has been your worst year of your life SO FAR".

I guess that'll be the dour Scotsman in him. LOL.

Happy Hogmanay to you all and lang may yer lum reek (wi ither fowks coal!). I'll sign off my last post of this dreadful year with a couple of beautiful treasures...

Happy Hogmanay to all of you from all of us.
We've just got back from seeing in the New Year standing on Lambeth bridge overlooking Big Ben and the London Eye while all the fireworks went up. Last time we did that was to see in the new Millennium. Harry missed out then as he was too young but he was desperate to go one year, so we made a snap decision at 10pm and shot up there. Great fireworks I must say but no-one even sang Auld Lang Syne. We seemed to be surrounded by foreigners all singing in Polish or Czech or something! I guess that's London these days.
Anyway I'm sitting here at gone 2am trying to wind down for a few minutes before going to bed.
I want to wish you all a much, much better 2008. I hope it turns out to be one of the best years of yours, Scott's, Derry's and Davids lives SO FAR! We're raising a glass to you.... Cheers for a few hours time when you finally hit midnight.
With our love, Dawn.

Yes Steph - we all want to see a much improved year this time round. It's surprising how one year can change your perspective in life so dramatically - yet in the sceme of things, one year is less than a heart beat.

So love, hugs and kisses 'til we meet again'

Looking for a happy AND healthy 2008 for Stephanie, David , Derry and Scott.
